Susan Juggernauth, Part-TIme Educator/Weekends

Susan Juggernauth recently joined Beczak as a part-time educator. She is a local Yonkers resident who graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science. At Trinity College she researched water quality of the surrounding rivers and streams while partaking in a well-rounded liberal arts education. She also traveled to Costa Rica to study sustainable development, strengthen her Spanish language skills and complete ecosystem research for the local government agencies.

Now that she’s back in Yonkers, she is working as both a wildlife technician completing ornithological surveys under contract for the DEP and fulfilling her desire to teach through Beczak. She hopes to gain valuable insight from her fellow educators and her students while delving into the Hudson River.

When Susan is not working at either of her two jobs she spends most of her time with her family and is an avid fan of the New York Knicks and the New York Yankees. She enjoys learning new things outdoors and in museums and zoos. Her recent goal is to learn more about Yonkers, its people and all that it has to offer. In addition, she hopes to become an important part of the Beczak Environmental Education Center in as many aspects as possible and learn all that she can from this new experience.
