Since 1989, Beczak Environmental Education Center has helped children and adults explore and appreciate the natural wonders of the Hudson River, one of our nation’s American Heritage Rivers. From measuring tides to petting eels, our interactive programs meet New York State Department of Education Learning Standards. Our interdisciplinary approach to learning supports science, math, language arts, social studies and fine arts teaching.
Who Are Our Students?
Everyone! Our students range in age from pre-K through adult. Over the past twenty years we have worked with high school and college students, teachers-in-training and teachers pursing continuing education, adults from Senior Centers and private clubs, and adult education classes. We also can accommodate groups of children or adults with special needs.
