Hudson Seining Party

Description: Wearing chest waders to keep them dry, teams of children accompanied by BZK Edu staffers pull a 30-foot seine net through shallow water to capture fish and other remarkable Hudson River creatures. Seining helps kids learn about the variety of life in the Hudson and the role the river plays in our environment. While waiting their turn at seining, children take part in a beach scavenger hunt for river treasures left by the tides.

Duration: 2 hours total (1 hour and 15 minutes for seining and scavenger hunt)
