Our Commitment to Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. To protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. This document sets forth Beczak's policy regarding your privacy for all transactions: phone, in person, via mail and over the Internet.
Collection and Use of Personal Information
When you request information, register for a program, make a donation or contact Beczak in any way, we may ask you specific information in order to process your donation, request, and/or registration. We may ask you for contact information (such as your name, address, telephone number and e-mail) and demographic information (such as your zip code).
In general, we use identifiable information to complete a transaction. We use aggregated data (such as where our supporters live) to develop and improve our programming.
We may also ask you for contact information so that we may send you news and information about Beczak. You always have the option not to receive mail from us.
Protecting Personal Information
Beczak will do everything we can to protect your personal information. All employees and volunteers are notified in writing, at time of employment, that your personal information is to be kept private and not shared even within the office unless there is a need to know. At this time, Beczak does not share our mailing list with any other organizations.

Our web site may link to other sites. Beczak Environmental Education Center is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such web sites. We will not pass your information along to the linked site; however, we cannot protect the information you provide to that site.
Monitoring of Information
We monitor traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of our web site. We may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about important changes to our web site, new programs, or other goings-on at Beczak. If you would rather not receive this information, please send us an e-mail at thehudson@beczak.org asking that your e-mail address be removed from the system.
Children and Beczak Environmental Education Center
Protecting the privacy of children is especially important to us. For that reason, we embrace the 1998 Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
Use of “Cookies”
“Cookies” are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. Our web site does not place cookies on computers visiting our site.
Email Guidelines
Beczak does not send unsolicited commercial email to individuals with whom we do not have consent/permission or a pre-existing or current relationship. Beczak provides all email recipients with a clear, easy and effective method to unsubscribe to any and all online communications.
